Reason And Religion
Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles. ~Romans 1:22–23, NLT

Many modern liberals pride themselves in being so called "Atheist" but are they being honest? John Arrowsmith was a 17th century Puritan theologian and he believed that man's innate instincts lean heavier toward religion than reason. Whereas modern libs would say this is not true. They profess to operate from the point of reason and most would deny any religious affiliation. As Paul says in Romans one, "They claim to be wise, but instead became utter fools. And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped gods of their own creation." They worship a god, just not the one who created them and gives them breath.
Folks, do not kid yourself: Secular Humanism is blind fanatical religion. When you stand behind your governor and clap because he just made the murder of a baby legal; that is blind fanaticism.
Arrowsmith believed that beasts can reason to some degree but they have no inclination whatsoever for worship or religion. I think he is right on the money. Humans, on the other hand, are going to worship something. It is our nature. All humans are religious. The thing that separates us is our object of worship. Whereas we worship the true and living God; Paul said, "They worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself." They refuse to acknowledge God as God.
The result is God giving them over to their wickedness and it has darkened their mind. They cannot see obvious truth. You can give a blind man a thousand torches but he will still be unable to see. He doesn't need more light — reason — he needs his eyes opened and his sight restored.
Don't forget to pray for someone today other than yourself.
