Our Mission
Grace Point Baptist Church exists to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ — reaching the lost, growing together in faith, and serving our community and the world.
What We Believe
God
He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and deserving of our utmost love, reverence, and obedience. He reveals Himself in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), unified in nature, essence, and being. God the Father provides, loves, and disciplines us, freely offering His grace through faith in Jesus Christ. God the Son (Jesus Christ) is God in the flesh — fully human and fully divine. Born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life. Through His death and resurrection, we receive forgiveness for our sins and the promise of everlasting life. God the Holy Spirit is the promised Comforter who dwells within each believer, offering comfort, conviction, guidance, and direction. He empowers us with spiritual gifts to fulfill the work of the church and the Great Commission.
Salvation
Salvation is a free gift from God, available to everyone. We cannot earn our way out of sin through self-improvement or good deeds. The only path to salvation is by accepting Jesus Christ. When we turn from a life ruled by ourselves and turn to Jesus in faith, recognizing Him as Lord, we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Jesus Christ into our lives through faith and is secured for eternity.
Scripture
The Bible is God's Holy Word, a revelation of Himself to humanity, authored by men who were divinely inspired by God. It is a flawless treasure of divine truth and guidance, preserved by God without error, making it completely true and reliable.
Baptism and The Lord's Supper
Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is not a means of salvation. Baptism is the first act of obedience after salvation, symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior. It is an outward expression of the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. The Lord's Supper is an ordinance of Jesus Christ and a time of remembrance. The bread represents the body of Christ and the cup His blood. We are called to observe the Lord's Supper regularly until Christ returns.
Our Story
Grace Point Baptist Church was founded on the conviction that grace changes everything. What began as a small gathering of believers has grown into a vibrant church family rooted in Somerville and reaching beyond. We are grateful for every person God has brought through our doors and excited about what He has ahead.

Brother Jack leads Grace Point with a heart for the Word of God and a passion for the people of Somerville. He is committed to expository preaching, discipleship, and seeing lives transformed by the grace of Jesus Christ.
